Sports Massage Therapy

I offer sports massage therapy to anyone with a (sports) injury that is affecting their everyday life and/or sporting performance.

It may be that you hold tension in your shoulders, or you get lower back pain from sitting behind a computer all day. Or it seems that whenever you go for a run, your legs just don’t seem to perform at their best.

Then a sports massage is definitely for you. It works deep in your soft tissues, releasing tension and pain. It is not just for sports people; as it works deep into the tissue it is great for anyone.

Sports massage also benefits you in that it stimulates circulation, improves your lymphatic system to fight infection and helps get rid of any swelling that may be present with your injury.

 

 

When you book in for a treatment, the first session will usually take about one hour during which time I will take down some details about you, talk about your injury or where you are suffering from pain and assess it. The session will also include massage for approximately 30 – 45 minutes. At the end I usually prescribe stretches or strengthening exercises where needed.

Subsequent sessions will also be 45 minutes in which I will talk to you about how you are progressing, if you are still experiencing any pain or tension anywhere and a massage. Sometimes, where it is required, I will go through an exercise plan during the session. Every person is different so each treatment session will be different depending on what the client needs.

Treatment fee:
£42 for first appointment (1 hour)
£38 for follow ups (45 mins)
